  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The question is this:

I really like the grill on the AR550 concept:

Do I put up with the ding, and wait to see if any of the parts are made available to the aftermarket, or do I make my baby look perfect again?

I have a high deductible, so insurance is not a consideration.

For those wondering, a new grill is ~$500 US.

Just curious what you decided to do. I really like this grille.

I'm going to drive it with a ding and see if they make that grill an aftermarket product. I'm not holding my breath though.

What about the front radar? Doesn't look like either of these take that into account.
Not an issue with me. I have a Signature package.

Found it: T-Rex Grills

"Hyundai Genesis Upper Class Main Grille features formed mesh, a polished stainless steel finish and can be installed as an insert or overlay. The grille frame has a CNC machined beveled edge to seamlessly integrate with the new Genesis grille shell."

I still have to buy a replacement grill because it is the shell that is damaged.

I do like the black powder coat. :D $475

I pulled the trigger:

I'll see if I can get the body shop to repair the shell with lead and paint it flat black.

Cant wait for photos!

Sorry, I have been crazy busy at work. Need to get the car washed and I will take some pics. :D

I am generally happy with it, but the grille behind it is still visible, even after blacking it out.

Here it is:

None, when they have the bumper cover removed for repair :)

They had to remove the blanks for repainting, I had them put in the fog lights in their place. I have a temporary toggle set up until I find a place where I'm happy to place a permanent lighted push-button switch.

Was searching google for a mesh front grille for my new Genesis 2015, and was looking at the T Rex one. Thanks for posting this, very helpful.

I know this is a dated post, but wanted to see if anyone has any other grilles they've tried for the 2015 genesis.

WOW!!!

The factory grill is the only appearance part on my Genny that I don't like. Your new grill looks fantastic. Hope I see it in the DFW area sometime. If mine gets broken I know what I will get.
