  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2012 Genesis Sedan R Spec - Stock, 5700 miles.
***Half a tank of 93 gas***
Track: Bradenton, FL (pretty much at sea level)
Temp: 62 with a light wind at my back

First run was my best one:
ESC off, manual mode:
2.15 60 ft.
8.68 @ 85.23 1/8
13.27 @ 107.10 1/4

Second run:
ESC off, auto mode:
2.33 60 ft. (I could feel "nanny" holding me back for a couple of seconds)
9.10 @84.0 1/8
13.74 @ 106.1 1/4

The other two runs were 13.47 @105.9 and 13.51 @ 106.3

I thought these were excellent times considering the mileage on the car, and me learning how to launch this beast.

Thanks for the numbers. Rather quick for a big 4-door sedan!!

Wow, that's really quick for such a heavy car! Especially considering you had no experience with the Genny! Nice job!

13.2x@107 is spot on with what Motor Trend published, with Conti A/S. Wonder what it could do with stickier tires. Either it'll go faster thanks to additional grip... or same/slower with ESC kicking in more? Thought it's really impossible to fully defeat the ESC unless you do the fuse full hack?

Full ESC disable, stickier tires, wonder if <13 1/4 is possible?

I had some 20lb forged 19's made which will be going on this summer... wrapped with a 275 series rubber out back the package is still 5lbs lighter than OEM... unsprung weight savings should make things a bit more dynamic :)

A lighter rim with extra rubber would sure help.
My last car (Altima V6) improved .5 in the quarter once it had 20k on the odo, so maybe the Genny will do the same.
