  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hope everyone is well after the terrible weather.

I know there are some Georgia owners, and I think PingGolf lives in Alabama and I hope he and his family are OK as well as anyone else who lives in some of the areas affected

I live in a hard hit county in Georgia, but managed to get by unscathed.

I live in Birmingham and my daughter is a student at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Thankfully, she and the rest of my family are OK. We had many trees uprooted and snapped in two in our development, but that's nothing compared to the parts of Birmingham and Tuscaloosa that were destroyed.

Until this round of tornadoes, I wasn't aware how far debris can be carried by the wind. Apparently, someone near Birmingham found a suitcase from Tuscaloosa about 50 miles away! We have insulation and other debris in our yard that I'm sure isn't from around here.

The damage may be as much as hurricane Katrina but from the news reports I understand that in most cases of houses and trailers damaged or distroyed the people have insurance to cover their property losses vs. Katrina victims. Very smart thinking by those folks. Our prayers are with them.

Ahhh...what to do, what to do....offer a little history lesson or let it go....

Cautionary tale, ya just never know who's on the other side of the computer screen. I know nothing untoward was intended.

Waveman, Glad you and your family are OK. And Cliffbig too.

Oh, BTHBC, Mr. NOLa is fine as he was OUT OF TOWN! He wasn't gone on purpose or anything, but, ya know those sirens can freak a person out.

Uh-oh. Did I say something wrong that warranted the cautionary? Mrs. BTHBC says it's usually my fault, so I must have.
Sorry about that, whatever I did.

No, it wasn't you BTHBC.

I'm overly sensitive.
