  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Tornadoes!

We're licking tornadoes in my area. I ran to get my G70 under shelter before running to the bar to drink beer and watch everything.

Let that sink in. My G70 came before beer.

There's lots of beers, but you only have one G70.

Living in NYC has its downsides (traffic, insane cost of living, literal trash everywhere, etc.) but thank the lord we don't typically have to deal with hail, tornadoes, earthquakes and all that other crazy crap.

I used to live in a warm climate, and I would never ever do that again. Besides the sun, the constant heat, the tornadoes and hurricanes, you have to deal with insects like cockroaches, geckos, and other crap 🤮

Glad you got your G70 to a safe area, @Absintheuphoria. Stay safe, buddy.

Be safe! Tornados are no joke... (but excellent planning to move your G70!) ;)

I'm not sure I see much of a trade off in that comparison. At least with tornadoes and hurricanes I'll grab a case of beer and go outside to watch. Watching traffic and staring at trash... ehhh.

Or you can stock up your basement and watch whatever you want on your full screen tv while the weather does its thing.

if you're lucky enough to be home, sure, but plenty of people are not in their comfy basements when storms hit. you could also be stuck in rush hour traffic with nowhere to go.

i live in denver so plenty of wild weather but not much life threatening unless you're in the backcountry during avalanche season.
