Touch Screen Replacement

Recently my (2010 3.8 Premium) touch screen has been dark on one side only occasionally when I start the car on a colder morning.
The dealer wants to replace the screen under warranty. Given that its' only happened a couple of times so far, I'm hesitant to have them "disturb" the dashboard (subsequent squeaks etc)
Can anyone speak to this IE would it be easy to replace the screen or is it a major dash dis-assembly

It is not a major dash disassembly. The screen will probably go completely
dark soon. You will want to get it fixed before warranty expires as it cost an arm and a leg.
