  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My 3.8 Ultimate Coupe is two weeks old. I have extreme difficulty making any input on the touchscreen. If it responds at all, it's usually when I touch the screen slightly away from the icon. It's virtually impossible to use the Nav, and very slow to accomplish any setting adjustments.
I've searched the forums without help.
Is this a common problem? What can I expect at the dealership - will they want to change out the entire unit?
Thanks for any advice!

Well, it looks like you got a huge response here... :o

Do you have any update on this? Have you become accustom to the "uniqueness" (to be nice) of the Genesis Coupe's touchscreen or has the dealer make changes to it?

Dealer said they gave the screen a real good cleaning, and then were able to enter addresses with no problem.
But I couldn't. Touch "7" and get "3", etc. Not even close.
Guess I'll be sticking my Garmin to the windshield.
And programming the Sirius/XM has the same issues.
Wish the dealer were closer; I'd have them do all my programming! But apparently our G's are notorious for this. Can't be perfect!
I've always wished they stopped "improving" cars after they came up with cruise control and intermittent wipers. Nothing since then I really need...

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
It sounds like they really need to pay closer attention to the technology already existing in the current Genesis Coupe before moving on to new ideas. It also appears that even Hyundai is giving more love to Genesis Sedan owners...

Update. Took the car in for its first oil change (specifying Mobil 1 cost $52.50 above their free oil change!!!).
I asked them to try re-calibrate the screen. After they couldn't fix it, they ordered another unit.
I know they tried this time; my new dash cam recorded the 40 minutes the tech worked on it, including assistance via phone.
