  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I accidentally put too much air in one tire and after bleeding it down to the proper inflation the TPM for that tire reports it's about 4 PSI lower than the others. Checking with a manual gauge confirms the TPM isn't correct.

Anyone know how to reset the TPM?

Thanks

Drive the car for several miles...hopefully it will reset to the correct pressure.

thanks ... have done that with no success. I think I'll bleed a little more air out and try to add some ... see if that works

Before you bleed out more air, use your Gauge to see what the other tires read. If they are all correct, then you have a faulty TPM. If you still have warranty it should be covered. If not the you have to take it to a tire shop to be replaced. New Hyundai OEM TPM's can be bought on eBay for $35-$50 each.

Could you tell us how high was too high. I want to be extra careful not to go too high.

I was chatting away and filled the tire to 40! Blend if down to 34 and after that the TMP was off.

I decided to bleed it down again and filled it up to 34 and after that it's reading is accurate and consistent with the other tires.
