Hey guys, I have a new (to me) 2009 4.6 sedan, and the only real "issue" it has is the TPMS light being on.
I have an autel diaglink scanner and the data just has me scratching my head...maybe if I throw some info out here, someone more savvy can make sense of this insanity lol.
So the codes I had originally in the TPMS system were C1313, C1314, and C1345 (history code). (front right RF signal, rear left RF signal, and Front antenna/initiator issue) I figured that I could narrow things down by swapping around the tires and seeing if the codes moved...makes sense right? lol I swapped the passenger front and rear tire to test it, cleared the codes, drove the car until the TPMS light came back on, and I ended up with 2 active codes, C1313 and C1346 (the front right tire still, and now the rear antenna/initiator) What the???
On top of that, reading the live data from the sensors shows two of the sensors as (what I assume is) not communicating properly... i.e. the pressure says INITIAL and the temp is 59000 F
These are new tires, rims, and sensors all from the dealer (my folks had them all replaced prior to me buying the car) I know that doesn't mean that the sensors are good, but I'm really not sure if this is a sensor issue, or a TPMS initiator/antenna issue based on the data...
Any thoughts? I made a super quick paint drawing to demonstrate the codes before/after the swap...I know it looks like the tire tread is uneven, but I swear they are all the same
