  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

TPMS Model 52933-3N100

I ordered 52933-3N100 Hyundai OEM sensors from this site at $35 each. Can I expect these to be self binding and won't need a service tool?

They won't work at all since you are driving a Gen1 which have different sensors than the Gen2. My advice would be to go the Gen1 section and find the correct ones.

Actually I am now driving a 2015 Gen 2. Are these self binding?

You know I do not mind pointing people in the right direction but at least read the thread you are on now. SEE POST #3 on PAGE1

Thank You Midnightsun... I didn't need my cheater glasses for that post :D

I can confirm that these do indeed work (thanks for the tip MidnightSun!) It did take a bit longer than 5 miles for me for mine to pair up, but eventually (after about an hour or so of mixed driving) they finally registered.

Thanks for some very helpful information. I am about to change over to summer tires and this is just what I needed to know. By the way, if anyone is looking for Chromed OEM Genesis wheels, I would highly recommend oemrims on ebay. I bought a set for my Infinity G-35 sport a few years ago and they are very high quality. Going to buy some for my Genesis now that I know the correct TPMS number

You are exactly right. Just had four chrome OEM wheels with new TPMS put on my 2015 Genesis. The tire installer told me they couldn't find the code and would have to go to the dealer, but after I drove less than 10 mile the TPMS display showed all four wheels had synced. Thanks very much! By the way, in addition to the TPMS itself, you also need TPMS caps. Part # 52934-a5000.

The part number listed in the title of this thread comes with the caps you refer to. Maybe there is an option? I do know the ebay ones I ordered came with those. Here you can see them clearly in the picture. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/TPMS-Sensor-...bac2f85&pid=100011&rk=1&rkt=6&sd=161764553626

I got the same sensors as OP and i don't know why but they are not self binding. I drove the car for 2 days until finally I have got the "TPMS Fail" message.
I will go next week to dealership to get them programmed.

Very strange. Did you check the numbers on units themselves once you received them? Maybe they shipped you the wrong ones?

wow that would suck. Having had VERY expensive custom wheels on almost all the cars I have ever owned, that is one of my biggest pressure points, people ****ing with my wheels, ie, tire monkeys who don't care if it's a brand new set of BBS RCs or factory Hyundais, they are gonna ratchet and clank that tire off one way or another...
