  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

TPMS Monitor

This has been happening to me since I bought my car. The TPMS warning light comes on, but not showing tires low on psi. The first time it happened, I check tire pressure and all tires were over 40, so the dealer did not prep car properly. I deflated to 33 psi, as recommended. The light kept coming n, first daily, then every day or two. Been three weeks, and it is still happening. Dealer checked and found no problems. One thing I did notice, as was suggested, is I had to swerve from hitting a construction pylon.. After this abrupt and swift movement, the TPMS warning light came on. 10 minutes later it turned off, so the sensor may be getting tricked. Still this should not be happening., I have had 4 previous cars with TPMS, and the only time it came on is if a tire was low on psi. FYI, when this warning light comes on, you cannot check PSI. SO this is entirely different than a low psi warning which will show you the actual tire pressure on the low tire.

I've never had my TPMS warning go off - with readings as low as 27 psi when the weather got really cold. I refilled to 33 psi cold and they've stayed solidly there since. No issues with TPMS at all for me - though not sure what the lower limit is to signal a low pressure warning (must be less than 27 psi based on my personal experience).

Was it the cold temps that effected Tom Brady's footballs?? Why did it only effect 19 of the 20 balls he selected. Was it because of the temps or was it because of a slow human (cough cough) leak. By the way ball number #20 was the ball used for kicking, that ball would travel further when kicked because of its proper internal pressure. Should we use nitrogen in all footballs from this point on?? Should the Patriots Win be nullified from the football history books? It becomes so hard to teach our youth honesty and integrity when our idols are CHEATS. Does cold temps effect your tires air pressure by 22%, not? Should footballs be filled with nitrogen to alleviate the possibility of using this as an excuse to why the pressure have dropped. Right

Go Seahawks GO....

I haven't had a low reading either, nor a high reading. It has just randomly gone off, no explanation. So it is going to be like the little boy that cried wolf; I do not pay attention to it because I know it will turn off, but one day, the warning will be for real, and I may not react in time. I will have this looked at again, if it continues, by the time I have my first service

Kev4, yes, go Seahawks.. Wonder why the Colt's balls were not affected. Nitrogen may be the way to go..helium may be better, so they can throw further??!!!

Thanks for being a good sport on my rant. The wife won't listen to me so I needed to vent here.
