  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

TPMS Pricing-Activation Issues/Fees

They will sync on their own. I had one get broken and bought and oem. No problems there. I'd return the one from NAPA and get an oem. If the one from NAPA isn't syncing, it may not be correct.

I have had a few vehicles with tpms sensors. Here in Canada Hyundai was smart and realized they are more trouble than what they are worth. Summer, no problem however on cold winter mornings it is way to common to get flat warning as the cold air registers much less. Royal PITA unless you got the pressures up to 40psi however doing so makes the tire overinflated almost all the time. Thanks Hyundai for not installing this on the Canadian version, we get heated steering wheels though. :)

Ideally they should correlate outside temp with the tpms to get rid of the false warnings due to extreme cold. This morning it is about -22C which would definitely set them off. Or better yet for winter wheel/tire people, A switch to turn off the dummy light so we do not need to see the warning 24/7 when using dedicated winter wheels with no sensors.

The TPMs should auto sync. I have a 2011 Genesis Sedan that I purchase a new set of tires and wheels for.

I purchased TPMs from Southwest Auto Parts 801-664-2514 for $21.25 each.

Had Wal-Mart tire shop install new valves and nuts for $2.50 each wheel and installed them on the rims, put the tire on and placed wheel and tire on car.

That was in June of this year and haven’t had a problem.

+1
One good decision Hyundai Canada has made. TPMS is more trouble than it's worth, especially for those that check pressures regularly.
