  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I recently bought snow tires and new rims equipted with TPMS sensors. After about 3 weeks the TPMS indicator on the dash came on. I took the car back to the installing dealer and they deflated the tires to the door spec and said that over inflation can cause the light to come on. The light was off. I have driven another 3 weeks and the light has once again come on. I checked the tire pressure this morning with the tires being cold and the pressure in all 4 tires is at door spec, 33 psi. Is it possable a sensor is malfunctioning? Any suggestions before I go back to the wheel dealer. Thanks, JLJ

before going to tire dealer make sure that your guage is accurate. Many inexpensive gauges do not give consistant pressure readings. I have had a cheap new guage be off by as much as 5 psi. Also, over time a tire guage will go bad.
