  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

"oh loooook, it has a button :poop:"

Now I know over the years there have been alot of posts regarding the inability to fully disable traction / stability control on the 15-16 Genesis. I wont bore you with another one.

I have found something interesting, at least in my particular Genesis, that may potentially help you as well;

Now assuming things worked correctly , or at least as expected........ The "traction control" button should work as follows:

- No Press: Enabled as default
- 1 Press: Traction disabled
- Press & hold: Trac/Stability disabled (full)

Here's the interesting reality:

- No Press: Enabled as default (moderate burnout, Only if rolling first, & only in a straight line. cannot turn wheel even a hair (( steering angle sensor)) )
- 1 Press: killer burnouts, slideways fun, dangerous wet conditions if you're not really freakin careful. GD Please be careful -_-;
- Press & hold: FORT FKN' KNOX PROTECTION. Death if pulling out into traffic, 0 burnouts, no slideways even remotely. miserable.

Now again, its not "fully" off even in the 1 button state, but it will allow quite a bit of fun i have found out. Not sure if your Genesis reacts the same or if mines a bit special :druff:, but this is the best accidental finding ive had in the 8 months of owning it. :banghead:

Happy testing,

Nick

& again, be careful out there!

Hi there. I'm confused about your description of the 'press and hold' - I would think that with traction and stability disabled you would get the exact opposite of 'fort knox protection' right? The way you describe it with traction and stability both disabled you can't do burnouts or get sideways at all? Is that correct?

You would think. lol. but Yes, to answer your question, you are reading it correctly. at least that's how mine performs.
