  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Got tired of the sedan thing in general. Needed a little more room, a little more performance, plus my wife has some minor disabilities which make it difficult for her to get in and out of the car so it was a no brainer to go with a compact crossover/SUV. The Genesis in general has been great, a few adjustments and trips to the dealer but in general a really reliable and comfortable car overall. Will be picking up my new Mercedes GLC43 AMG on Wednesday. :D:D Here is a review of the GLC for anyone who may be interested.

We'll miss you here. Enjoy the Benz! No need to put that up on a lift next winter.

By the way, I didn't see a toll road on my trip to Montreal and Quebec City 10 day ago. Great people everywhere too. Try Chez Boulay for dinner in QC. Excellent.

You gonna hate the transmission 1-2-3 gear...

Congrats! You will indeed be missed. I read every word you wrote back when you first got your Genny; as you were one of the first to get one.

Thanks for the warm goodbye. :spoton: Kept searching for the future Genesis SUV but it is just too far off. By the time I change the Benz (usually about 3 years) I may be looking at getting back into a Genesis SUV.

Good luck with the Benz. I had a E320 CDI that came with the Mercedes/Bosch SBC air pressure braking system. Every time I hear the "the best or nothing" commercial I want to puke.

Well, I'm sure you're going to love the GLC43. You've been here a long time. Over 7 years... I do hope you'll check in from time to time to let us know how you're doing. Feel free to brag about how good the Mercedes-Benz is. They do make some truly amazing products that most people in the world aspire to own. Good luck with it...

Well I may be back. :) Put a down payment on a GV80. Will wait to see what exactly they are offering when it arrives at the dealership sometime this summer/fall.

Are you getting the 3.5T version? We did get the 2020 G90 in Canada before the Americans did, so it is possible that we might get the GV80 first too.

If I like what I see it will be the 3.5 with all options. Only negative I see is the ride comes up as just OK by many reviewers which hopefully is not the same mistake they made with the 1st generation sedan which was not very comfortable. No mention of how the ride was very comfortable or soaked up bumps with ease. Only comments we hear are how the Korean roads are perfect and suspension gets no workout or real world test so to say.

As can be seen in my signature I presently drive a C43 AMG. The handling and power is amazing but the ride comfort leaves a lot to be desired.
