Trading in G70 3.3, 2022 M340xdrive or 2022 Supra 3.0

Hello,

I really need peoples opinion I don't know which one to get. I have been having problems after problems with my 2021 g70 sport and have concluded that I got a lemon. I am now deciding whether to get a m340 or a supra. The m340 is 3 months wait and the supra is 5 months wait. I like the recognition and the treatment of the luxury brand. I only got that half the time with the genesis at certain dealerships. I live in Canada and I don't have enough garage spots for 2 cars. I love modifying cars and the supra definitely has the aftermarket to make it into a race car. However I like the status of the BMW and the respect they treat their customers. Also I want something fast, comfortable and gets attention/looks.

M340i for sure. If it were me, I might go Tesla model 3 performance if you're going to spend that much. Otherwise, get a different G70. Vast majority have very few issues

Supra. Parts for BMWs in general are just over priced plain and simple. Never had a BMW but friends of mine that do and are DIY‘s with repairs and the like are always complaining about factory parts cost. Can’t imagine Toyota being as bad, but could be wrong.

If you buy a BMW just make sure you either buy the extended warranty or sell the car when the warranty expires.

If you're asking this question, then I assume the Supra's lack of practicality is not an issue, in which case get the Supra 100%. Way more fun to drive, and far more prestigious/exotic looking to an average Joe than an M340i if you care about that. Nobody is impressed by BMWs in 2022 unless you live in a small town or it's an M8.

Both basically have the same engine (BMW 3.0 straight 6). As @dcsparta said if practicality does not matter I would go supra all the way

Same transmission and similar interior as well. Either way, it's mostly a BMW.
Do you want a sports sedan or a two-seat coupe??
Yes, the Supra is more unusual and eye catching. I imagine you'll get treated well at either dealer. Both cars have a strong aftermarket

I like how C&D described the supra's looks as "crustacean" in the con's list for their review, which I agree with. Great car, just looks bad even in person and I've seen quite a few of them in parking lots around my area. M340i with the night package looks much nicer and practicality is a plus, but probably numb to drive compared to the supra or G70. You can't argue with its performance though, that thing is fast. I think the C43 is overlooked - way more visceral than the M340i and the throttlehouse guys recommended the C43 over the M340i because it has more soul/personality.

^^ Agree. The Supra is cool but very limited practicality. Also, wind noise is insane.

For me, I'd get the Beemer, but I confess that whenever I see a Supra, I give it a very long stare. I don't think they're beautiful necessarily, but you just don't see them everyday; kinda like the G70 .

I recall the Supra wind baffling issue can be resolved with some plastic trim pieces for not much.
