  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Noticed this week that the "TRAFFIC" icon on the nav screen is no longer there. Came to my attention when there was a wreck on I-90 ahead and looked for it on the screen. Any ideas/ remedies?

Possibly your XM subscription ran out? That would be the only culprit.

Sometimes, when there is nothing to report within a reasonable distance, the Traffic icon will go out. Also, sometimes, when the "traffic" part of XM goes out of service, the icon will go out. On my car, it always comes back.

Possibly...but still have XM stations. Will contact dealer. Thanks all.
OH, switched my tires/rims to the snows this weekend. Other rims had TPMS's but no TPMS Monitor Alert has come on- I thought I needed to visit dealer to "relearn" the new ones into the car. Does this take longer to come on (days)?

I'm assuming you are saying that your winter wheels do NOT have the TPMS devices. Don't know what happens if there is no device in the wheels but when I think about it, it seems to me that if there is no "sending unit" in the wheel, then the "Receiving unit" under the fender does not receive any signal, so no light may light up, unlike a low pressure signal from the sending unit to the receiving unit. I DON'T KNOW. If nothing lights up on your dash, then this may be the answer. As for me, the TPMS is a pain in the neck. because before this car, I always checked my tire pressures, and I had no need for TPMS, but now I've gotten lazy and don't check the pressures as often as I should, because "if a tire gets low, the TPMS warning will light up". Although my warning has not lighted up, YET, I expect it to light up in a couple days, as I will be leaving warm Florida for Roswell and Ruidoso NM and the temps are getting cold out there in West Texas and New Mexico.

Let us know if you have the TPMS device in your winter wheels, and if not, does your warning lamp still not light up.

Yes, I have TPMS' on all 4 wheels on the snow/rims (18" Genesis extra set rims). It has been 4 days- light hasn't come on (though will illiminate with all other idiot lights normally upon start up) Thanks guys.
