I have 2016 Hyundai Genesis, 46000k brought to Hyundai and specifically asked to have complete transmission fluid flush/exchange meaning using fluid exchange machine, and no chemicals/cleaners whatsoever. And tranny filter change. And to use the proper ATF fluid SP-IV-RR. Says ok to all of the above.Then after hees done they say, this car can't use fluid exchange machine so he drained and filled, then repeated one more time. Never changed filter because he didn't know it had one, put in fluid I've never heard of called ATF SP-IV-M this guy was not qualified in the first place and find out he's a trainee. They don't have a service manager and said master mechanic not in till Monday. Call then. First question is, is ATF-SP-IV-M the proper synthetic fluid because it's a differant code than manufacturers recomended? 2nd can fluid exchange machine be used on this type of sealed trannsmision or is mechanic lying ? 3rd question is clean fluid got mixed with dirty fluid defeating the purpose right ? This needs to be done again I'm assuming. He showed me a sample of tranny fluid and it was very dark brownish red proving that waiting till 60k miles/following owners manual is very wrong. Mechanics or somebody that knows exactly what he's talking about please read post and help me out.

You should post this in the 2015-2016 Hyundai Genesis forum, not the G80 forum.

I don't know which fluid is correct for your car but some online research should flush that out (excuse the pun).

They should not have performed the service if they could not do as you asked. Assuming the fluid isn't the wrong fluid, you're better off now than before. If you paid for the service, maybe you can get your money back.

The trans filter is integral to the bottom pan of the trans. Has two drain plugs, center to drain off set plug to the side is the overflow to
let out excess fluid.
