My 2015 Genesis 3.8 AWD Htac with ,156k on it was due to replace the transmission next week because of the following symptoms.
Hard shifts after short drive,
Under hard acceleration car would feel as if it had dropped into neutral and would not accelerate till you let off the pedal.this behavior happened at any speed with sudden hard acceleration.
Jerked into gear while coasting in a parking/slow stops.
My story/solution
My alignment was always a little off(very little)since my purchased and i had planned on doing it after new tires but then I ran over roadkill on the highway (my poor car) and following that had really unstable steering.
My shop changed a tie rod and performed an alignment. Cars aligned now my transmission performs flawlessly,shifts like butter everytime no matter how aggressive or what speed I drive.
I initially created this account in hopes to help out another Genesis owner being I almost replaced a transmission for nothing!
