  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2015 Genesis AWD 3.8 w/Ultimate package. Recently I noticed that when I refuel, my trip odometers (A&B) are not matching what my main odometer is reading (taking the current mileage reading and subtracting the last reading). I was off approx. 75 miles. Has anyone experienced this issue and if so, what was the fix? Thanking you in advance.

I have not noticed that but I am going to check next time I Drive the vehicle. Sorry I can't help you out with an answer.

Both A and B are off? You know that the one resets don't you? You say it is off, but you neglected to say plus or minus. Did you stop for 4 hours or more?

EDP,

Both A & B trip odometers read 208 miles. My ending odometer reading was 9625 with the previous reading being 9334, or a total of 291 miles. I realize that both A&B trip odometers reset, which I do each time that I refuel. I hope this clarifies my original statement. Any clues?

Is this the only time you noticed? Perhaps for some reason they were reset accidentally and you did not see it. Anyone else drive the car?

I'd watch on a couple of very short trips to see if you have a variance. That will tell you that for every 10 miles they read one less or if the was a big lag at some point.

I think the confusion is that the newer G80 doesn't have an "A&B" trip odometer. We have a trip odometer for the current drive that resets if the car sits for more than 4 hours, and an accumulative trip odometer that resets automatically when you refuel if that option is enabled or manually if it is not.

and they are not the same as the traditional A/B trip odometer you are talking about.

on my '15 5.0 ultimate I use my A to monitor my fuel consumption, reset at every fillup, and my B for oil changes. I've never had them disagree with reality.

I don't like to use the computerized fuel range because I've found it to be too optimistic even when I manage better than EPA rated mileage with my driving style. I prefer to look at mileage driven on the tank, not a computer guess.
