If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Who else has trouble completely filling their gas tanks? When I go to fill mine up I find that after the nozzle clicks off that I can get another three gallons in the tank if I want to take the time to keep squezzing the handle again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again...............

Mine is the same way. My 06 Azera was even worse than my Genesis.

With some gas pumps if you don't insert the nozzel all the way it will stop filling. Are you sure you had the nozzel completely inserted (until the rubber covers the entire area where you insert the nozzel)?

Once with another car I could not get the pump to fill more than a little bit at a time. I moved to another pump. It was a problem with the pump not the car.

I had the same problem. When I make sure I have the nozzle inserted all the way, the problem goes away.

I found that when the pump kicks off I can hardly put any more gas in without it spilling over. Not sure if the tank is really full or if there is an air pocket but the guage reads past the full mark so I think its pretty darn full. I have noticed that even when I'm down a quarter of a tank the distance to empty does not seem to reset.

I do not have this problem however, I always insert the pump nozzle in as far as it can go. Once it stops, it's done and the tank is full.

It makes no difference if the nozzle is all the way in or in any other position. When the Nozzle clicks off it is far from being full and you can only fill it with many short clicks.

Did you try filling it more slowly? I notice that some pumps will kick off very easily because they deliver at more volume/higher pressure. I've seen this happen on my Gen and my Sonata. Back off one "notch" and all is well . . .

I have been down to "10 miles to EMPTY" and could only load up 16 gal. of gas.

I have never been able to put "20" gallons or even near it in my tank.

SO...heres my thinking.

The DISPLAY gives you a reading for a 16 gal. tank and then you have about 4 gal of emergency use.

I will not be dipping into the 4 gals. but is sounds like a pretty good assumption to me!:)
