  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all
On the inside of the trunk lid, I have just noticed a depression in the lining and a clamp affair which can be opened-up. Looks like it's designed to hold something.
Anyone know what it's for?

Do you mean inside the roof of the trunk?

If so, it's meant to hold your grocery bags and it's awesome. I just posted about it in the "Likes" thread a couple of days ago.

No, the part he is talking about holds the Red Triangle for when your broken down along side the road.

i use mine to hold an umbrella!! :D

I do too.... and it's a handy place to keep it

Everyone knows that Genny doesn't break down so you don't need
that triangle :)

You might need it if you stop to help someone with a lesser brand.

It's 2016. There are plenty of bright LED strobe-style warning lights on the market. Some are battery-powered and some plug into your power ports. Why buy a typewriter, inner tube tires, or an emergency triangle? Okay, Europe may still require triangles.

Because when your car is dead your socket operated thing will not work and/or the led light you had in the trunk for 8 years has no battery power any more the triangle will work. Electronics are great but in emergencies they usually suck big time. A few flares will get attention also and always fire up. ;)
