  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My trunk lid has some type of locking clip holding mechanism attached to it which looks like something should be there. Does anyone know what this is for? Is my 2015 missing some type of part (maybe a safety related item) which should be in this location?

Ditto for the glove box which looks like it has a pen holder attached to the door. Should something have come installed there from the factory?

Really Curious,

The pen holder is just a pen holder. I think the trunk holder is for a safety triangle to comply with the euro market.

Brian- the gizmo on the trunk lid can also be used to park those Walmart plastic 'Tshirt' bags.

The trunk clip is there to hang grocery bags or other small bags. I have not seen the glove box clip,

The pen does not come from the factory. There is an emergency triangle holder in the trunk. The vehicle does not come with one.

Thank you. This is what i was wondering, they do not come with the car from the factory.

Anyone know which emergency triangle fits?

Someone posted earlier on in another post that the one that comes with an Audi fits as well.

Seems like a really good idea. What keeps it erect and keeps a potential wind from blowing it over? is there a stand of some sort that is not visible in the photo?

Looks like two silver arms that extend out perpendicular from the base....

There is a metal strip that pivots from the centre of the bottom reflector arm to make a stand. It is the silver piece you see in the photo.

I find it kinda useless so I tried something a little different and you know what? it's perfect if you live in a snow area that is.

The holder located on the lower side of the trunk lid appears (to me at least) to be a holder for a spare fob. It is perfectly designed for this function and may be an undocumented feature.

The game plan, as I see it, would be to hide the metal key in your favorite hiding place outside the car. Then, when needed, you retrieve your metal key, open the trunk, and then bingo! You have a complete fob.

On my keyed cars, I always hid a spare key in a magnetic box on the inside of the back bumper in a recessed location.
