  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Buddy also noticed a black box inside trunk lid that opens and has some cushions made of foam in it. I was clueless as to what it is for. Any help?

As far as I know the only thing that sounds like that is that in all/most of our 2015 Hyundai Genesis' there is a wheel well under the trunk floor with a spare tire and inside that tire is a foam-cushion containing thing with a jack and the thingies to remove lug nuts etc.

I am aware of that. This is on the inside of trunk lid when you open it. It is centered inside lid and has a button on it to open it

Was posted before in this forum I think. Owners say this is where the emergency triangle thingy fits. The part wasn't supplied with the car as it was probably still not available at shipping date. Audi has something similar.

simplyaddo is correct, the bracket is for the folding warning triangle that is mandatory for European markets.
