  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello All,

I found your forum looking for help regarding my 2013 Genesis sedan, and you guys were a life saver. I had some problems with my car completely dying with the battery being fully charged; that battery shim suggestion was a life saver. Anyway, when trying to figure out what the hell was wrong with my battery, I discovered another problem - I cannot access my truck using the physical key located within my key fob. The key works for the door locks, but not for my trunk. Obviously this is not a super pressing issue since I can access my trunk using the switch and the fob itself, but I was hoping to get some possible solutions seeing as I want to be able to access my trunk in case I don't have power again.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
May need adjustment and/or lubrication. Pressing down on the trunk lid may help.

Failing that, call an automotive locksmith.
