  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I walked to my Genny from the grocery store this morning; pushed the auto unlock button for the doors and then the trunk opening button on the fob. The doors unlocked but not the trunk. I then pushed the manual release and again, nothing. I then opened the drivers' door and pushed the trunk opening button and again, nothing. I started the car and tried the trunk button and again, nothing. I finally removed the hard key from the fob to manually unlock the trunk. The key worked.

This is the only issue I've had with my Genny other than the navigation system wiring harness. I will be taking it to the dealer Monday.

Check the trunk lockout button inside the glove box to see if it is set to allow physical key access only.

That's the issue! I was at the dealership this morning when it opened. When I told the service manager the "problem, he told me about the button and asked it I had checked it. I did not know about it. He checked it and that was the issue; owner ignorance!

Thanks for the responses!
