I have and LOVE my 2018 G80 3.3T. It has been virtually trouble free for almost 70k miles.
Without warning, the red light indicating the trunk is not properly latched shows up in the center of my dash panel. I may flicker here and there, but for the most part, it is always on.
I am positive the trunk is properly closed because I can hear it latch and the display does not immediately show an unlatched trunk, although eventually it will (within 15-30 seconds.)
The little red trunk lid still blinks even when the car is off.
I was thinking it is a sensor, but have no idea where those might be. I found three little black dots on the trunk lip that seemed like they might be sensors because they seemed to click when I pressed on them. I put tape on each of them and that did nothing.
Any idea where the sensor(s) indicating the trunk is fully closed might be?
Thank you for any help you can offer!!
