  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
1G Genesis Sedan (2009-2014)
I have a 2013 3.8 sedan and am looking to upgrade. I really like the G70 and I'm single with no kids. However, I have one question will decide whether I go 70 or 80. Would I be able to fit 2 cart (not carry) golf bags in the trunk of a G70? If I have to remove the driver and 3 wood and place them along the back edge I am fine with that, as long as that would allow me to fit 2 bags. I can fit 4 that way in my current Genesis sedan.

Thanks for any help I can get!

^ putting down one of the rear seats will allow you to accommodate 2 cart bags.

I was afraid you would say that. I want the back seat for luggage. I live about 3.5 hours from a major golf mecca and travel there often for 3 or 4 day trips. If I lay the seat down, can both go vertical in that area and leave the other side of the trunk open for luggage?

I would say you drop the 40 of the 60/40 split seat...clubs go on that side...semi-stacked (trunk is not that tall). You than have the other 60%'ish of the truck for other stuff.

I only have a walking bag. Cart backs are not that much bigger really.

I really appreciate the info! Swing hard in case you hit it!

If you really want...I can drop my seat...put my one bag in...and take a picture. It will give you a good idea of what you can pull off.

Disregarding the rear "flat" seat, the advertised trunk space is around 10 CF verses 15 CF for the G80. I was thinking of trading my G80 for a G70 until I saw the G70 trunk and back seat leg room.

i can fit two stand bags in my trunk. on the diagonal. it took me a bit to figure it out, and i first tried laying them straight across the back of the trunk with no luck. driver is too long for that.

Thanks, that helps as well. Advice, remove the drivers and 3 woods and place them along the back edge of the trunk. I usually find that they fit that way in my buddies' cars without the added length of being in the bag. Then you may be able to turn the bags the same direction.

Here you go. Had to drop the “60” side. Please excuse my filthy golf bag...haven't gone out this spring yet.
A bit later, found this post, thank you - this is a huge deciding factor for me between G70, G80 and GC70 this summer. (G80 doesn't have fold down seats for who knows why... sadly. That was my dream car... Probably will end up w GV70 because of cargo room... :( GV80 just too large w people to transport. :)
