  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Truth About Cars 4.6 Review - 5 Stars

If I understand the article correctly, the V8 (US version) will include the Genesis wing badge instead of the (H) logo?

"That explains HyMoCo's last-minute change of the V8 decklid's (America-only) "H" logo to the global market's winged crest. Even with the Genesis name spelled out on its rear, the re-badged badge puts a little Bentley in yo' face for maximum curb appeal."

I was at a dealer yesterday that had a V6 Tech Package with the winged badge (Gold/Beige). Asked the less than knowledgeable salesperson if it came that way from the factory or if the dealer had put it on, and he said it must be from the factory since there was no dealer added accessory markups on the sticker. The steering wheel and wheel caps still had the flying H so I'm guessing the dealer added it, but who knows???

I think it's interesting that they wrote that the trunk was "exceptionally well trimmed".

The trunk finish has been one of the complaints of current owners. Is it possible the V8 gets more attention in the trunk?

I looked in the trunk of the V8 that I drove but I don't recall any special treatment over the V6.

Good review. Thank you for posting it..

I'm starting a new topic on "the badge"...

I am among the biggest fans of the Genesis but I do have to agree with one negative quote in the review:

"The only downside remains the finely crafted grille– it begs for some name recognition to ward off the inevitable references to the brandless contents of a local Dollar Store."

The grille is certainly finely crafted but it reminds me of a Hot Wheels car that is ALMOST an exact replica of a production vehicle. A very good looking vehicle that looks almost exactly like ?????? but there is no moniker to identify what it is and you just can't quite put your finger on it but you swear that you've seen it before.

I wish Hyundai would have put an H on the grille.

But then again, it's just business and I'm certain it was a calculated move.
