  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just bought this car and the CEL came on for the turbo bypass valve. I am guessing the diaphragm has ruptured. While watching the diagnostics when driving I am only boosting 8-9psi as well.

I called Hyundai for a stock replacement and they tell me I would have to buy the whole unit and that the part does not go separately(wow, replace a turbo for a piece of rubber?). Does anyone know if the bypass valve from a 2013 would work on the 2011? Dorman has one for $45 but I don't want to waste my money if it's the wrong one even though it looks to be the same shape. Otherwise I will have to go aftermarket in which case I would love some suggestions.

Nothing too crazy though, I want to keep the car stock and not have to worry about smogging it in California.

What did you end up doing???? I have the same issue and can not find the part!! Only 2013 one is available for some reason, but mine is a 2011.
