  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is there a way to turn off all accessories (radio, display, etc) after I turn off the engine but stay in the car ? Looks like the only way it turns off radio n display if I open the door ?!. If I don’t do that, the radio n display will just keep on playing?

See like if I press the start/stop I can turn on accessories but I can’t turn it off since repeat pressing start/stop only go to check mode and then keep telling me to put foot on brake to start engine.. all I am trying to do is to turn off all accessories...

the radio will eventually go off after a short time. But the bigger question is why are you trying to turn off all accessories without exiting the car. Then again, I guess I may not understand what an n display is

n = and

Sometimes I turn engine off while waiting for someone. For extended period of times, I don’t want the radio n display etc draining the battery. It seems lame only way I can turn both off is if I open the door....

if the g70 is the is the same as the G80 the timeout is like 2 minutes after your turn off the car then everything shuts down..

you can also just turn off the radio itself if it is an issue for you..

regardless; the RAP (retained accessory power) timeout is very short and it will not kill your battery.. I sit and wait for my kid at school sometimes >30 minutes with the radio on in ACC mode and don't have an issue.

Now in RUN mode the battery will die in that 30 minutes because the HVAC is active (if in auto mode). Been there done that.

Thanks, Mr Incredible. I will wait next time and see if it turns everything off after a couple of minutes. I did remember it did give me a warning about draining battery leaving accessories on with engine off.
Not too worry about the radio drawing power like u said. It’s more like the display that I am worry about.
Yeah leaving the fan on is a definite No.

Good n for U’n.

my g80 gives that warning every 30 seconds, regardless of RAP, ACC, or RUN mode, if motor not on that message comes up.

Just hold down the power button on the radio for like 4 seconds, and the screen will turn off and you won't get the battery discharge warning.

is there a setting that the radio always comes up after you turn the vehicle on without having to press the radio button?
