  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

i have a 2015 genesis 3.8 and my left turn signal bulb went out , we do run the daytime running lights also. i do have the plat wrap warranty too , should i go back with stock bulb or go to something different ? there is a 50 dollar deductible on warranty ( dont know if its covered ) we have had the car 2 years and havent changed them.
thanks

The dealer will charge about $10 if you are in for service. There are a few thread here on changing out the stock bulbs.

You can avoid the whole issue just by making three rights and eliminate the need for left turn signal.

well i do need to take it in for a rear window repair, it wont go down ,i might get them to do the bulb then ,, i am going to check for a blow fuse for rear window

thanks

ohh is there a mod for using the led strip for drl ?

I have had good luck with amber Philips 2357LL bulbs. The stock bulbs are more as a 2357NA bubs, which burn out fairly quickly. The LL version is beefier and last a while hence the LL(long life) rating even used as DRL. NA are normal designed turn signal bulbs that do not hold up long when used as DRL.

My Philips 2357LL replacement has been going strong for about 2 years now without any issues when used as DRL for my hour commute from work every day.

LED 1157/2357 bulbs are hit and miss, and could still burn out due to excess heat when used as DRL; usually about the same time as a normal stock bulb.

Amber, actually a darker amber color than the stock yellowish/amber.

I prefer Amber only as well. VLEDs have a 3 year warranty. My installer told me "if a bulb ever burns out, come back to me and I'll install a new one."

Agreed. I like the deep amber DRL lights look(LED or standard bulbs). My car stands out now with dark amber DRL.

Bright white LED DRL bulbs/strips are too common placed now; just like black wheels. Was cool when a few people did it, now not so much in my opinion.

Great warranty. So you know you will get three years use out off the VLED.

I hope so. Either way, the warranty is there. Number one killer of bulbs are heat. LEDs are no different. As for DRL's, I think anything is better than nothing.
