  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

'13 5.0 R-Spec here, first is there anyway to turn on accessories without starting the car if you have the push button start? What I mean by this is with a normal key you have a spot where you can turn the key to operate the radio ect. Is there no option for this on the push button start? Haven't found it in the manual.

Also the interior lights dont come on when I open the door. Havent found that in the manual either.

Any help is appreciated....

1. Yes, I can't remember if you press the button once or twice, or hold it in once. Don't press the brake or you'll start the engine too.

2. There should be a button on the overhead panel labeled "Door" make sure it is pressed. If they still don't work then you may have bad LEDs but it's unlikely that all are burned out.

I really wish we can turn the vehicle off yet keep the radio on like on most GM vehicles (and other models). Very annoying to have to turn off, then hit the button again to turn back on the radio and of course dont hit the brake or you will turn on the engine again!
Very small detail of course

Enjoy your ride!

This feature was added on later models.

To leave the entertainment system ON while shutting the engine OFF, just put the transmission in Neutral rather than Park before shutting off the engine. Use the parking brake too! This works even on the original 2009s.

With engine running, try pressing the On button two times quickly. I should go test this before posting it but I think it works. It did on my G37 and I think I tried it on my G80.

Knew this worked....that's what I'd been doing.

Didn't know this worked. (It did!) Thanks.
