  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've never been able to get my smartphones - first an android phone and now an iPhone 4s to charge or play music when I plug them in using the USB port. The phone will flash on and off and make some kind of alarm sound. Any ideas?

That's odd, are you using the Hyundai Cable or your iPhone cable?

I can get my I phone to charge if I have it switched to music mode before I plug it into the Ipod cable. It is not a 4s but worth a try.

I get the same results as you described when I use the iPhone charger/sync cable plugged into the USB. It will not work unless the Hyundai iPhone/iPod cable is used, which connects both the USB and the headphone jack simultaneously.
