In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Hey all I did a search for car software and blue-link version dates but didn't find a definitive thread about it so I thought to start one. Here is the information from my vehicle, please add yours with the following info:

Car Manufactured Date: 06/08/2013

System Update (Software Versions)

Model: AN310BHA
S/W VER: BH.USA.SOP.20130212.006
Blue Link S/W VER BH.NA.SOP.20120725.001
Navi App VER: BH.USA.SOP.20121115.014
Map VER: USA.05.45.48.001
Device ID -----------------------

Is this up to date with the latest versions available? I know my map is not up to date, far from it but this has always been a problem with Map&Soft that I don't see being addressed anytime soon. Thanks for your feedback, I have a scheduled service on Monday for an oil change and will ask them about this then, just curious if anyone's is more updated including anyone purchasing 2014's.

So nobody wants to know if they have the latest UI / Software available for their vehicle?......It's beneficial to keep this as up to date as possible in case any improvements have been made. Like in mine the Blue Link still says 7/25/2012, I'd find it interesting that no updates to the functionality have been made since it came out.

These are a few of the pet peeves I have about the current system:

1) Information being presented on the screen should never appear while the vehicle is in reverse and the camera is active....such as phone is now connected, volume adjustments, or anything else that reduces the picture being shown for a message that can wait till the car is in drive.

2) The parking sensors should not beep the forward warnings while the car is in reverse, unless the front edges of the vehicle are in danger of making contact with vehicles parked near it.

3) Songs in your Jukebox should be deletable, if the function is there it's not clear.

4) System needs more variety to the words you can use to control car functions. On my 2010 I could have swore the temperature was controllable via. voice command, though I could be mistaken on this.

There are other things, these are just the ones that come to mind real quick. Anyone else have things about the system that they would like to see improved? Maybe if we get enough requests together this is something Hyundai would act upon in a software update, but maybe not lol.....IMO it's worth trying :)

Your fishing in a shallow pond gameday22. I imagine the majority of forum readers have the pre 2013 vehicle. And, in addition, with the new 2015 Genesis about to be introduced, If I were in the market I would certainly wait to buy the 2015. I don't see the ranks of 2013 owners suddenly swelling. Plus if I had a 2013 vehicle I would just assume I had the latest Bluelink / UI software. In any case, as you probably have witnessed, Hyundai doesn't make checking the version of your software against the latest update an easy process.

Yeah I would have thought there would be more 2013 owners with Blue-Link etc. and Hyundai definitely doesn't make it easy.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
The current iteration of the mapping software is the last there will be according to Hyundai. Can't speak for the bluelink, but, there'll be no more Nav updates for 2013 back.

Yep, just copied from above since it was all the same.

So the 2013 Genesis I bought new in September with maps that were out of date when I bought the car will never be updated????? Give me a break Hyundai!!

If that's true, it's enough to make a guy spit!!!

Sucks, doesn't it. However, you may not be totally out of luck. Perhaps there is one newer update for your car, just depends on which version you have. And at a price of $345 per my dealer, it sucks in the worst way possible.
My version doesn't have streets listed in my town since it was founded in pre-civil war days!!! I'm talking several streets over 280+ years old and they aren't listed........... so how up to date do you think a restaurant will be????? And I live in the capital city of my state!! Haha my stoopid arse for buying the Genny in the first place.

If enough people complain about it and we do some sort of petition maybe we can force their hand? If their not updating my maps in a car that I just got that's pure B.S., it is severely outdated already. These are they types of things that can sway me from a future purchase, there is no reason they cant update the maps at least twice in a year at a reasonable price. My Garmin is updated at least 4x a year and at no additional charge.

I have a System Update function on my Settings Screen on my 2014 R-spec. Does anyone know where to get system updates from? Apparently they are downloaded to a USB Drive and then you insert the drive into the car and select 'System Update'.

Talk to the shop, I was able to convince them that after having only owned the car for three months they should be forking over for the new map software. I just picked it up 20 minutes ago!! The shop paid the $279.00 for the map and install I paid nothing. (Johnson Hyundai, Cary, NC)

I have a 2013 RSpec. It was manufactured on Mar 13, 2013 and I purchased it on May 26, 2013. All of my version numbers are identical to yours.

I have noticed a few relatively new local roads are not on the nav maps. That's not a problem for me, but could be for someone from out of town. I've used the nav system to guide me on 5 or 6 trips of a couple hundred miles or more and not had any problems.

I just got a 2014 R-Spec last month and my numbers are as follows:

Model: AN310BHA
S/W VER: BH.USA.SOP.20130523.008
Blue Link S/W VER BH.NA.SOP.20130308.001
Navi App VER: BH.USA.SOP.20130527.016

Re: UI Update/Software with GPS replacement?

My radio went out in my 2013 Genesis and they replaced the entire unit. Lost all my GPS favorites, but that's a small issue.

When I start the GPS now with voice command, I get a different screen and voice prompt than I had before. On my original one, I selected the state of FL because that's where I live. It always stayed as Florida until a changed it. If I needed to find another state, I had to "say state name" to change states and THEN speak the address & city.

With the replacement, when I need to speak an address, the GPS asks me to say "state name" and then the address. Every time. Weird.

I looked at the settings and this is what I have now:
Model AN310BHA
S/W Ver. BH.USA.SOP.2013111.009
NAVI APP VER: BH.USA.SOP.20130527.016

I've search everywhere to try and find some info on these numbers, but didn't find anything. Is it an old version or an updated version?

Would there be any benefits to requesting a firmware update only? It seems the maps are the most expensive part here. I have a bit of static when streaming bluetooth music and am wondering if updated firmware would address that issue.

Anybody know the price to have this done?

System updates should always be available. The last version of the Prada should be something special for Genesis and treat it as their firstborn beast (especially since the last version of the Prada was in 2013 and then everything completely changed) it should always be a gem. If that cannot at least update their software or just their Navigators to have the latest roads on the map then why is it worth it to purchase a $35,075 car. All we're asking for is a navigator update. I do not see why I have to wait for the 2015 or 2021 genesis and not get the Prada sedan with the latest technology if I like the style, comfort, power, and luxury. Why would I have to go for the 2021 Genesis just because the 2013 genesis fans are asking for an update? It does not make much sense as it may take them a day or two to develop an update that would serve their day one customers that may not be able to afford their brand new cars, or simply enjoys the classy look and the older version better.
