  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Can someone please help me identify the correct replacement part for the bolts or clips that hold the undercover / splash shield to the front bumper? I just noticed they're missing on my '21 G70 and I'm not sure what they look like. I searched and found these 2 parts but not sure which one I need, or if I need both?

I’m guessing you need both as it’s probably held on by both bolts and plugs.

I lost one somehow, likely on a parking barrier scrape. It was a plastic grommet type thing. I used a plastic wallboard threaded screw that I had a few in my tool box. Worked fine. Invisible.
Unobtrusive kludge.

IIRC, the splash shield has a few bolts, but the part that join with front bumper is held on with just plastic push rivets. It's either 8mm or 9mm. I just got a box of assortment from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076BMVZ8R so I just grab whichever one that fit best. Over time, I ran short of the 9mm ones, so I replenished with a 100-pack: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V9H3MX5.

I think the original ones are probably 8mm. However, many of the holes on my splash shields are kinda enlarged over time, such that the 8mm ones fit rather loosely. The 9mm ones fit tight, but I prefer that.

Thank you for this. I was hoping maybe I could find something that would work, I just didn't know what size details I needed.

If you're close to a Genesis dealership why not try the Parts department? Had a similar issue, missing two rear splash shields when bought the car, called the Parts department and the guy saved me hours of internet search rabbit hole, and they even ended up installing it for free. (I had the splash shields, just needed bolts/screws)
