  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi - Has anyone seen this before? It only comes on when the car is not moving. When the car first starts there are also a series of beeps.

I've looked through my manual and looked all over the internet but no luck. Based on the location, its seems like it may be related to the front headlights maybe, but everythign appears to be working fine.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Front parking sensor is seeing an object up close in the middle of the bumper. Unless you're parked close to something, it's a defective parking sensor.

Parking assist.
Sensors in the front and rear.
On/off switch at the left side of the dashboard.

I had the same issue. Oddly enough, turning off the parking sensor does not solve the problem. For me, it was only in extremely cold weather that this would happen, or after it snowed, which makes sense - as there was probably some snow or ice build up on the sensor.

Took mine into the shop and the replaced the front sensors - problem solved.

It happened to me too several times last and this week with our crazy Michigan winter.

Same issue here in MN, not just the Genesis, but every car I've owned with parking sensors. At least the sensors in Genesis isn't as fickle as some others.

Thanks everyone. I'll take a closer look at the bumper and see if it goes away. If not, then I'll take it into the dealership.

I had the same problem... turns out ice had built up on one of the front sensors. I got the ice off and all was well. If there is nothing on your sensors one of them must be bad...
