Unusually High Insurance Premium

Yeah - mine's about $211 per in Houston TX. Surprised it's not higher, with the way these idiots drive...

I pay $858 every 6 months for the attached and definitely don’t have a great driving record. Couple DUI (older than 7yrs), couple speeding tickets and a claim for someone hitting me along with 2 accidents (not my fault) on record. One accident cost $11k with State Farm on my 13 Kia Optima a few years back. This is with Progressive and have my wife Volvo XC60 and Homeowners Insurance too.

Man this dug up some memories lol ever since the good ol' age of 25, it's went down. $906 every 6 mo. Comes out to about $150/mo. $211 is very high in my opinion. I had a Vette and it was less than $200/mo. How's your driving record..?

I only speed a little.... I usually average one ticket about the time the previous one comes off. 1 accident - wasn't my fault.

I pay 108$ per month, I have 4 other vehicles so I get some multi car discount. I paid 150$ per month in New Jersey for 2 10 year old vehicles just liability. Moved to south Dakota that 150$ went to 40$ per month.

$250,000/500,000 liability, $10,000 medical, Zero comp deductible, $250 collision deductible, Towing and $50 a day rental = $429 every six months for me. Zero tickets or accidents in the past 10 years until the past 4 months where I was hit 3x but none at fault. Still I'm sure my renewal will take a hit. I also insist that they rerun my credit yearly as that usually removes any increase that they tack on for no reason.

That is a very low rate, especially with those deductibles.
I'm paying $1600 with about the same driving record.

IL in Dupage county just outside of Chicago. 10 year accident free discount, multi car and line discount with a credit rating above 780 with State Farm Ins. I have had my policies re-underwritten multiple times since the insurance companies started rating based on credit as well usually resulting in a decrease of about 5-10% every year I have had my policies re-rated.
