  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everyone. I have been browsing the site since last October after test driving the V8 model. I love the car but decided to wait until I return from my deployment to the Middle East in August to lease. My question is that I want to pay for the lease up front, and was wondering how much should I be expecting to pay for the V8/Tech for 27 months at 15k per yr. Would I be able to get a really good deal around August?

Current lease program is for 36 months now .... "official" pricing is $2599 down and $559month for V8 tech, though loose in the prices paid/lease thread, people have been doing better on the down because there is a $1250 incentive to dealers on the lease. Maybe someone who has signed up for the new 36 month program will chime in here.

Just leased a V8 model yesterday. There are a couple of Hyundai and dealer incentives, but expect to pay around that $2599 amount.
I was a bit sad I missed the 27 month lease opportunity, but I am satisfied with the lease I got.
Good luck!

So $559x36+2599 puts me at $22723. I'm assuming this price includes intrest rate. Since I'm willing to pay for the lease in cash what is a fair offer to put on the table?

I just leased a V8 Tec for 36-months and was told that the car is already in. I'm paying a total of $576 per month, inclusive of taxes. The down payment will be only the bank fee ($495 I think) and the first months lease cost. The dealer threw in all window tinting, hand pinstriping and the installation/removal of all the emblems (Trunk/Hood/Steering wheel and the removal of the "Genesis" on the rear. I have yet to see the car in the New York area.

What tipped the scales for you all in favor of a lease instead of an outright purchase? Is it that you just like to experience that new car smell every three years?

I'm one of those that buys a car and puts a couple of hundred thousand miles on it. Consequently, I've never understood the allure of a lease.

I know the question was not directed to me, but I'll answer it anyway.

Yeah...the smell, the feel and the excitement of a new car does it for me. I get bored driving the same ol' thing. Also, I hate driving a car that's out of it's factory warranty.

That's the reason I'm on this forum, checking out the very interesting Genesis.
The lease on my Lexus GS350 will expire next year and I am doing my early homework.
