  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi there,

I hope all is well! And I hope this message finds you in good health and spirits. I'm writing to let you know to expect a few changes around here. As you might have already noticed, we've got a new Hyundai Genesis Marketplace. Think of it as a classifieds database where you can view and post cars and parts for sale - or wanted ads for the same.

Thanks to one of our moderators, Ruissimo, we have new, updated header images. I think you're really going to like them. They'll be in place at some point next week.

Among the changes taking place is a forum arrangement restructure. Some of our more involved members have been asking for a better layout/separation of subject matter - and we've been discussing possibilities for awhile now. We've agreed on a structure and it'll be put in place next week.

After that, we'll be upgrading to a major new release of the forum software. Expect new features and improved functionality. Some things around here don't work as nicely as they used to - and it's kind of old. This version was released in 2004 - and a lot has changed on the internet since then.

So, onward and upward. In most cases I believe "if it's not broke, don't fix it". Well - there are a few things broken - and the only way to fix them is to upgrade. I'm not a big fan of change, and thankfully things won't appear a whole lot different...

That's all for now! Thanks for being a member of the Genesis Owners Community! And have a wonderful weekend (or day/night, if you're reading this early in the week. :))...

I wouldn't worry too much... I run the latest version of IPB on a gaming community somewhere else and it isn't so vastly different that folks would be lost.

:)

Thanks for giving us this great place to talk about our cars!

Nevertheless change is inevitable as much as we all may loath it at times!

Thanks for the time and effort yo'all put in to provide a place for people to come together with similar interests.

This site I have found to be invaluable to learn about the Genesis and solve problems that the factory trained technicians sometimes can’t figure out.

The forum structure has been updated and hopefully the team has some time to look through topics and move them to their new locations. I spent about an hour doing the same but I'm sure there's more to be done...

First topic in the Garage is up and running :)

Thanks, guys! The forum header images are up and running as well. :)

Great work, Webster, et al. I don't see Ruissimo's new headers, though.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Hmm... only shows up on the main page for me too. I refreshed my browser, cleared my history and cache, and even flushed my dns. I think there's another header file somewhere that needs updated.

Yes, that's an R Spec.

I just made a change. Try logging out and logging back in again and let me know if that helps...

Thank you!

Same for me.

Fixed. :)

Atsa nice!

Just looked an equus thread. Like the new header over there as well.
