  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I hope so. Is there no FAQ explaining what the update that's posted does?

Still says May 4 everywhere. They didn't update the date on mapnsoft nor Genesis update site...

So are we safe to install said new update? I see all these crazy threads about sensors, lane assist, front collision warnings are going wrong...sounds like a complete manure show.

It should be good now. I installed it, and all is well, including no more Korean crap on my dash. Others were reporting crazy warnings too. All fixed.

New to the forum (first reply). Nav update is back up. I did have an issue with my Nav update myself. Had a samsung USB I formatted exFAT, downloaded all the files and moved over to the USB, did the update (it did Audio first..then Nav it seems?). Completed "successfully" after it restarted a few times during the install.

Here's where my issue started. Once completed, I tried to access my Nav and nothing happens (won't load Nav at all...tried both my dash button and HU buttons in settings...sidebar just says "starting navigation"). I didn't power off my G70 at any point. Car runs GREAT just this weird one-off issue. Also, i tried re-downloading and even erasing/reformatting/re-downloading the Nav update 3 times but now my G70 just says "Nav files are corrupted or don't exist" when i hit my Update button in Settings > SW Update menu. Thoughts?

Oh Lordy, now I'm scared to stay my car and see if the update installed correctly last night 😬

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Remember to download the update DIRECTLY TO THE USB, not the computer (and yes, I know the instructions say to the computer, but that's what causes issues). In addition, if you log in, the system will say your car is not registered (crazy that Hyundai hasn't fixed that bug yet), so skip that, and go directly to 'Guest Log In'. If you insert an EXFAT formatted 64Gb USB stick before downloading (or starting) the updater, the USB shows as your default 'storage drive'. After doing it that way, I've had ZERO issues on 3 vehicles, and several updates by now. Hope this helps.

So update with just battery, without engine running? Can you update it while driving as long as you don't turn off the engine until it's done?

I've done all my updates while driving. No radio, no camera, everything else works. When the music comes back on, it is done. Then I try the navigation to go back home.

You can do whatever you want, and it'll update by itself. The only thing you cannot do while updating is use the infotainment (it'll be black).

For some reason on my Mac, I can not download the program directly to the USB. Will load to hard drive but when finished, it will not transfer to the USB Just goes to sleep mode.
Funny part is that it will transfer by dragging the download from drive to usb. Will this work or mess up the process?
(Tried three 64’s and two 128’s all programmed to exfat)

I have zero experience with Macs, so cannot comment. I'd wait until somebody confirms that, since you could risk getting your infotainment dead, and needing a dealer to correct. Or you could try ordering a USB from Hyundai, and trying to get the cost waived under warranty. Good luck.

Thank you! Guess I better wait until the USB’s come out directly from Genesis and Hyundai.
