Update Sound with modern digital screen with android and apple car play.

I currently have a 2010 Genesis Sedan with screen, navigation, CD, etc. My son wants to be able to use Android phone, see music and control without using his phone. Like modern cars. Can you replace these systems?

It's very unlikely, at least not with a Hyundai stock unit. You may be able to fashion in a third party head unit, but it likely won't work with steering wheel controls. I'd ask a good car audio shop.

Your car is 11 model years old at this point. I doubt that it can even stream Bluetooth audio. Yes, it is a dinosaur compared to current vehicles.

I think your son’s only option is to get a Bluetooth adapter (see Amazon for numerous options). Then he can connect his Android phone to your car’s audio system. Next, get a phone holder to mount on the dash vents, or in the console cup holder. Yes, find them on Amazon, or at Walmart or Best Buy.

So equipped, he will be able to do what he needs using his phone. NO, this proposed setup would not be as safe (driver inattention) as operating a dash video screen.
