  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

See picture. If you don't like the 'smooth' feel of the radio volume knob in your '12 (and other year, I assume) Genesis, check this out. I got it from one of the online Hyundai parts dealers. About $12. And it's KNURLED. It's AWESOME.

QuantumRift,

Great find, also hate the smooth radio knob. I see you are on the Planet Isuzu forum as well, i just joined there a few months ago...great forum.

LOL, that would be me. Also on the Burgman Riders forum, the Safari forum on Yahoo, TractorByNet, the GMC (Envoy) forum...and a few others...

Would you mind posting the link to where you got it? Mine broke and the dealer says $50!! for a new one.
Thanks!

You're welcome. I'm sure you've received it by now and have been showing it off to your friends and family like I did! Post a pic !

Thank you very much! Just ordered it.

It would appear that the volume knob 96563-3M700-GS has been replaced by 961734Z5104XAS.
(Part # 96113-3M000 is not the one for the Premium & Tech Package I believe.)

My volume knob has been held in place by silly putty for a couple of years but that fix has finally failed. I'll see what my local Hyundai dealer can come up with. I've found it online for about $15 but paying $10 for shipping galls me.

Please chime in if you have anything to add!

Should be about that price from the dealer with no shipping if you pick it up.
This place is $5 shipping

I ordered my volume knob from Delray Hyundai (hyundaioemparts.com). The price was decent - at least compared to other places. $15.16 for the part plus $4.87 for shipping. As I stated earlier my local dealer wanted $29.45 for the part.

But shipping was slow - it took 12 days. I ordered on Monday (28 Sept). On Friday (2 Oct) a shipping label was generated. 4 days later (6 Oct) the package had still not been received by the carrier. I emailed their customer service & they got things moving. The part arrived today (Sat - 10 October).

It was the correct part and it fit fine. It looks to be better designed than the original part. It has a knurled ring which the original did not.

Others have commented on slow shipping from Delray as well.

Again, the part # was: 96173 4Z5104XAS
