As I use my USB cable every time I get into he car, I was not liking the fact I had to keep the USB tray open with a cable connected all the time. Look thing I guess.
I found inside the USB/DC power tray on the bottom that their is a small little access door, left side of bottom. Its used to get to the shifter cable. So I cut a small piece of the access door plastic to allow for the cable to past through. You do not have to cut, but the access door will not snap back into place. Just cut a small bit off the corner.
From here it was easy to run up inside the dash to be next to the driver right AC vent. Of couse you can have the USB cable end up anywhere you like.
I added one of those phone holders that attached to the air vent. Now the USB cable is right there.
USB/DC tray is now closed.
PS. I did the same with the DC power supply I use for my front camera recorder.
I like seeing the tray closed all the time.
