  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm considering purchasing a used genesis 2015 awd 3.8 sedan w 83K mi. Cardax looks good, dealer is repairing sunroof before sale. I love the car it drove well but what should I be be aware of concerning maintenance/ reliability? Can this vehicle last 200k mi+? I see many owners (most 5.0) looking to sell before it becomes too expensive, is that the same with the 3.8? Thanks in advance

The car is very reliable. Just test drive it and pay attention to how the transmission shifting from 1st to 8th speed feels. Some models have issues with the transmission solenoids. Also, you may take to a decent shop to plug in a scanner and test for any errors.

I bought a 2015 Base sedan 3.8 with 98,000 in April. I got a warranty plan for bumper to bumper coverage for 3 years 60,000 additional miles.

I Love this vehicle and the compliments I get amaze me. Most think it is a brand new car(Timeless styling) and everyone that rides in it is stunned when I tell them it has 104,000 miles.

Buy with confidence and enjoy!!!

I also just bought a base model 2015 3.8 with 106000 miles. I love it, drives good, looks great. I also got 24 mo warranty. If make it to 200000 without anything major I would be ecstatic.

I bought my 2015 3.8 in 2017 with 11,700 miles on it. I'm about 800 miles from the 100K milestone and it still drives like the dream that it is. I'm sure I would love all the new technology on the newer models, but I really have been happy with this car.

Same here. 2015 Genesis Ultimate 5.0 w/47000mi. Dealer offered $20k for it and sticker price on a 2023 GV70 3.5 Sport Prestige ($65000). Don't know how I feel about having another payment...
