  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Used 2019 or New 2020

Thanks everyone for the advice. My coworker was willing to drop the price by $1K and to be honest I didn't want to push too hard or try and lowball. But as it turns out, my dealership gave me a really good deal on the new 2020 model so I am now the proud owner of a 2020 G70 3.3T AWD with Sport package! I've had the car for less than 12 hours but boy do I love it. I'm like a kid at Christmas - I plan on getting up early tomorrow and familiarize myself with all the features and controls :)
Congratulations and enjoy the new car! What colour did you get? And add some photos if you can :)

Thanks - I'm loving the car. I got it in the Havana Red. When I first started looking at the G70, red wouldn't have been my first color choice, but my local dealership only had two G70's in the trim level that I wanted, red and the other in Siberian Ice. The Siberian Ice looked like white to me, so I went with the red and am loving it. It's darker than a cherry red and looks IMHO fantastic, especially with the darker Sport wheels.

I'll add pictures of my baby tomorrow :)

Siberian Ice is the best...but congrats!!

Thanks man! This car is amazing, and such a great value. Agree about the Siberian Ice, it's just my last car was white, so wanted something different.

I know how you feel. Also, the Siberian Ice is most definitely not white, though it can look like it in certain conditions. But that being said, that Red is also a great color and IMO you can't go wrong either way.

This car is fabulous - test driving it doesn't do it justice once you get to own it and learn it. The value of it is huge (compared to what you'd pay for a comparable Infiniti/Lexus/BMW/Audi).

I guess the best way to put it is buyers remorse. Whenever I make a big purchase, especially cars, I always get that. After I had it for a week or two, and start getting used to it, I always think "Gee, did I really need to spend this much money, was this 'insert purchase item here' really worth it".

I have no buyers remorse, just a big ass smile whenever I get behind the wheel. Money well spent :)

I only use the complementary service because is free and the car is a lease, if the car were mine I would be doing all maintenance work in a third party reputable mechanic shop using the best oil in the market and not the crappy regular oil my dealer use, but that just me.

The valet service does seem like a cool benefit, but in the end i don't think i want someone else driving my car. Especially if they drive it like they stole it and its not their car so they don't really care. The nearest Genesis dealer is over 20 miles from my house and about 35 miles from my work so that's a lot of driving someone else would be doing in my car.

Agree wholeheartedly. My dealer is probably 20 miles each way too (Genesis of Dallas). I don’t even let my wife drive my cars so no way some dealer valet guy is going to shuttle my car back and forth. Already have Wix filters and my own oil ready so normal maintenance I will do myself. I actually like getting under a car and checking things out and looking for issues such as leaks. My dad did his own work as did my two older brothers. If I could only get my 19 and 24 year old to take after their old man some. The younger generation can’t even install a car battery which is sad. Just little interest in mechanical things. Granted when it comes to some feature on my iPhone they run circles around me. I take care of their cars too and if my Mac or iPhone flips out, I have a built in help desk.

Kinda sad, general maintenance really isn't even that hard. I do all my own as well. I've just learned no one is going to care for your vehicle more than you. My 2006 Honda Accord has 140k miles on it but it is very clean and well taken care of. I could probably easily get another 10 years out of the car if I kept it, but i have three vehicles and if i get a new one the Accord will have to go. I called my auto insurance provider to get a quote on a 2019 G70 (over $150 per month with high coverages) and i just don't want to pay over $350 per month on four vehicles and an umbrella policy.
