  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello,

I rented a Genesis V6 (2009/47,000 KM) few weeks ago

I noticed that when I turn the car on in the morning, and while it is cold, the RPM goes up and down in a strange way, and I can hear the engine sound going up and down

But when the car warms up, the RPM starts to settle and move down to 1,000 and lower

What would be the problem ?

The spark plugs ? (not changed for long) ?

The plugs are supposed to last 100,000 miles on the US version. I am sure they are the same plugs as the Canadian version, but not sure what Hyundai Canada says about their life.

I certainly have not experienced what you described, nor do I recall seeing any other posts about that problem.

That rental needs to have its ECM reflashed.
