V8 On Order - Could Use Some Help On Emblems

I ordered a Black/Brown V8 yesterday and deaer rep referred me to this site. I have read a good many conversations but would like some clarity.
1). Are there different versions of the wing emblem? I know there is a large and small one but the ones I see advertised at KAI look different than some of the pictures that have been posted. Does it make a difference where I order them?
2). I gather there are still no inserts for 18" wheels?

Congrats on your order and welcome to the site. There are 'front' wings and 'rear' wings. Some do rear only, some do both. The reason there is some inconsistency is that 'way back when', [as in July] the parts guys hadn't yet figured out there were two versions, so some of us early adopters wound up putting front wings on the rear. When the error was discovered, some chose to redo their wings, others, like me, left the front wings on the rear. Go here and checkout posts 30-35:

You'll see 18" wheel inserts there too, but they are for the V6. There was some discussion in here that indicated the 17" V6 inserts might work on the 18" V8 wheels. To my knowledge, no one has tested that yet.

It is nice when someone else is an early adopter. The dealership has agreed to apply the wings although I believe I now know more about the process than they do. I guess I will have to wait for the appropriate wheel inserts.

Did your dealer give you any indication of how long before your car would be available? Some of us are in the 3+ months "pool" waiting somewhat less than patiently!

My dealer has literally given up on trying to guess (his words) on when my car may show up. Seems like the whole east coast is a no-show.
