  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Apparently Garden Grove is advertising V8's in stock in the Newspaper. I didn't call them.

I called my guy Steve Cook at Douglas Hyundai and they said they have between 4 and 6 arriving tomorrow or Tuesday.

Douglas Hyundai, Santa Ana and on in Irvine. Talk to Steve Cook only. Remember that once you talk to anyone else or even let them open a car for you, they commission just went up. Steve Cook is a manager.

Never talk to anyone other than Fleet! Don't even give your name because they will muscle in on your deal, its policy for that salesman to get a commission if they so much as talked to you about a car or if they get your name.

Well that sounds great for those out west! Hoping that some make it to the mid-west next week anyway.

It sure does sound good. I checked with a dealer here in Indy and he said that they were expexting a Blk/Blk V8 in 8 days...However, he also gave me that same line the first of September...I'm not sure what to believe. It does seem that we are getting close though.

A New York dealer has confirmed he has VINS for 6 V8's but does not expect them to physically arrive until October 15th.

Most dealers in mid-Tennessee have received their VINs on V8s. FWIW, the story I hear is those autos coming in our direction are off loaded in the Gulf. Because of the recent hurricanes/storms the ships were held for many days on the west side of the Panama Canal. If true, there would be a crowd of various type cargo vessels having to pass through the Canal which would delay shipments further.

Ijust got a call from a local dealer in Iowa City, Iowa and their first V-8 Genesis has arrived!
