  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Question... Where is the location of the valet switch which allows you to lock the trunk from being opened by a valet. My 2009 had a switch in the glove box which allowed me to lock the trunk and then lock the glove box and keep the mechanical key on my person and allowing the valet to have the FOB. There does not appear to be one in my 2015 Genesis Teck Canadian.

Assuming it's the same for the Canadian version, open the glove box and it's at the top edge of the glove box pretty close to the center. There's a groove there that contains a simple single pole switch - push once for on, once again for off.

Thank you very much for helping.

Thank you so much for the info. I had scheduled an appointment with the service center for this and was almost about to visit them.
