  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've been having a very strange mirror issue since the day I got my Genesis. The mirror, ever so slowly, slides down from the position I put it in. I live in south Florida where it is quite warm, and that may possibly have some effect, but I've never seen this before with any of my vehicles. It's like entering a rental car every so often and having to adjust the mirror. At first I thought my wife was adjusting it, but she hasn't driven the car in 3 months, and I am still adjusting it every week or two, usually after a period of not driving it. It's really very annoying!

Mine always seems like it's drooping as well...and my Tundra previous to the Genesis did the same thing. These mirrors are so big and heavy now. I guess it's hard to make a smooth swivel that will easily move when you want it to, but clamps like bulldog when you don't.

Had the same issue and mentioned to service tech. He forced mirror completely to top and then slowly dropped down to desired position. Fixed mine. May have been lucky, but thought I would pass it along.

Agree with celltech. Mine would need adjusting every month or so. Never thought much of it until it was brought up here. It was never so bad that I could not see, just needed a nudge. I guess how often it happens depends on how bumpy the roads are where you travel.

Mine does the same thing. It needs a slight adjustment every couple of weeks. Next time, I'll try adjusting it all the way up, then down like Fahrfrumwurken said.

You might want to also consider that in the morning most people are sitting straight up. By evening their posture usually become more slumped down. Mirror position might need to vary by time of day if nothing else changed.

It is very loose, i have the same problem. I've already made a list of minor things that i will address next time i got to the dealership.

There have been some posts in the past where the user ended up with getting the mirror replaced.

It's from the mirror tilting down all the time when you reverse. It doesn't quite return back to the original position. My trick is once in a while, hit the memory seat button once in a while before driving and it goes back to where I had it set.
